| Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is the oldest and leading university in Bangladesh in the area of technology. The institute of Fllod Control and Drainage Research was established in 1974 in BUET and later renamed as the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) in 2002. The Institute pursues research and capacity development in the field of water and flood management. The institute also provides advisory and consultancy services t government and non-governmental organizations. |

The capacity building for IWRM and gender will assist developing curriculum on water resource management in an integrated form, which will lead to train professionals on this field. Application of academic learning at field level through undertaking research will enrich understanding of competing sectors of water resource across time and space. |
