As a consortium working across the South Asian region, it becomes imperative to have a strong foothold to implement our goals and understand ground realities. In this respective, we partner educational institutions in the various South Asian countries. While Crossing Boundaries is funded by the Irrigation and Water Engineering Group at Wageningen University, SaciWATERs coordinates the project regionally.
The partners who help implement the project are:
Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS), Dhaka, Bangladesh
Centre for Water Resources (CWR), Anna University, Chennai, India
Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka
The university partner institutions implement the national level activities by assisting in identifying SAWA fellows, participate in exchange programmes with other institutions, hosting workshops, conferences and seminars for SAWAS fellows. They also pitch in by hosting outreach programmes and faculty trainings, apart from holdings events from time to time to build women water professionals’ networks.
