A Champion of the Earth Award 2008 goes to Bangladesh Scientist

It is our great pleasure to announce that the highest UN World award for Environment Champions of the Earth 2008 has been won by Bangladesh’s leading environmental scientist and activist Dr. Atiq Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS). This year the award Champions of the Earth 2008 has been given on a regional basis. Dr. Rahman has won the award for the Asia Pacific Region, world’s largest and fastest growing region
