Project Director - Crossing Boundaries Project
Dr. Chanda holds M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), New Delhi, India. Her M.Phil. dissertation focused on women's role in development, while her Ph.D. thesis focused on the elimination of discrimination against women. Her specialization as a professional is in Participatory Research & Development and Gender, particularly in natural resources management. She has worked extensively on issues concerning social and gender equity rights particularly in the sphere of agriculture, natural resources management and sustainable livelihoods in India and Nepal since 1996. She has published several papers and chapters on gender and agriculture/natural resource management. She is in charge of the research programme of the CB project.
Dr. Anjal Prakash
Senior Fellow - Research & Outreach, Crossing Boundaries Project
Project Director - Water Security in Peri-urban South Asia
A graduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India, Anjal Prakash, has a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Wageningen University and Research Center, The Netherlands. He has worked extensively on the issues of ground water management, gender, natural resource management and water supply and sanitation in India. Dr. Prakash worked with the policy team of Water Aid India based at New Delhi handling research and implementation projects related to Integrated Water Resources Management. He has contributed many papers in leading journals and chapters in edited books. He has authored the book "The Dark Zone: Groundwater Irrigation, Politics and Social Power in North Gujarat" that was published by Orient Longman. He is handling research and outreach portfolio as senior fellow under crossing boundaries project.

Dr. Jayati Chourey

Network Manager- SaciWATERs-CapNet Network (SCaN)
Dr. Jayati Chourey holds a Ph.D. in Ecosystem based Water Resources Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (Forest Research Institute University, Dehradun). Prior to her Ph.D., she completed her Masters in Limnology; Aquatic Environmental Sciences. She has been an Environment Equity & Justice Partnership (EEJP) Fellow for the year 2005-06 supported by Ford Foundation. She has been working in the field of Natural Resource Management for the past eight years under various projects and capacities. She has worked with Department of Environmental Sciences (Andhra University, Visakhapatnam) for Ecological & Economics Social Network (EERN) coordinated by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. She is associated with various environmental and social development forums. She handles the education and network components of the CB project.
Ms. Sreoshi Singh
Research Fellow - Water Security in Peri-urban South Asia
Sreoshi Singh holds an M Phil in Regional Development from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and is a PhD candidate with Center for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad, India. She has worked on subjects concerning poverty, livelihood, health and gender. She specializes in urban development and planning and has special interest in various socio-economic and environmental aspects of urban areas for policy planning. She is also co-editing the book on Water Resources Policy in South Asia to be published by Sage. Sreoshi has worked in the Crossing Boundaries project of SaciWATERs since 2008 and presently leads the Hyderabad research team for the Peri-urban water security project.
Ms. Vasundhara Dash
Research Associate - Water Security in Peri-Urban South Asia
Vasundhara Dash completed her Masters in Environmental Studies from TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) University, New Delhi after which she joined SaciWATERs as Research Associate - Water Policy. Her dissertation internship with an international NGO was based on understanding the role of local institutions, and policy in resource use and conservation in coastal areas with field work in a mass nesting site of olive ridley turtles in Orissa. She was also part of the Indo-German Climate Change Programme funded by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the Environmental Policy Research Centre of Freie University, Berlin, Germany - where she worked on policy analysis in the development of sustainability criteria for Biofuels. She has also done field research in the Himalayan valley of Lahaul on water conflicts and institutions for water management. At SaciWATERs she is currently involved in the action-based research, communications and networking component of the Peri-urban water security project in Hyderabad.
Mr. Pranay Ranjan
Research Associate
Pranay Ranjan has completed his Master's in Environmental Studies from TERI University, New Delhi. He completed his Master's dissertation work at Environmental Policy Research Centre of Freie University in Berlin. This was a part of the DAAD funded programme - German Indian Climate Change Dialogue. He has earlier worked with GTZ IS - CPU (German Technical Corporation International Services - Carbon Procurement Unit) as an intern. He is currently involved in the research component for the research sites of the peri-urban water project in Gurgaon.

Mr. Md Abdul Fahad
Graphic and Web Designer
Fahad has done his diploma in Animation and Webdesign and has two years of experience in the field at Hyderabad. He has aslo undergone production training in Maya modelling and lighting. At SaciWATERs he is responsible for designing of publications, reports, newsletters and managing the website.

Ms. Hemalatha Paul
Office Manager
Ms. Hemalatha Paul has completed her MBA (Human Resource Management) from Symbiosis, Pune. She has been working as an Office Manager in SaciWATERs since July 2005. Previously she has worked in various International NGOs in the HR and Administration sectors. Her task for the Crossing Boundaries Project is to assist the management in recruitment, organize meetings, coordinate conferences/workshops and staff training and she is also responsible for administration set up and day to day work.
Mr.Chedubavi Sreenivasulu
Finance Manager
C. Sreenivasulu has fifteen years of finance and accounting experience in the NGO sector in Andhra Pradesh. He has earlier worked in the Rural Development Trust, Anantapur, as an Accounts officer and Internal Auditor; in SARDS, Tangutur, as an Accounts Manager and as a Sr. Finance Officer at CWS, Secunderabad. Sreenivasulu has done his M.Com from Sri Krishnadeveraya University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and MBA from National Institute of Business Management, Chennai. As a Finance Manager in SaciWATERs, he is responsible for overall finances as well as maintaining accounts, budget reports, fund flows, compliances, etc. for SaciWATERs.
