Key Achievements

• Hygiene practice session was conducted on 27.1.2014 at Anjuman High School, Bholakpur by Dr. Dheeraj. There was an exclusive training and orientation session for the school staff on the hygiene practices at the school. This session resulted to form a committee i.e., Hygiene check team was formed for monitoring school premises on continuous basis in order to resolve and tackle the issues.

• A team of five people consisting of community people from Bholakpur had visited Ahmedabad which made them understand the notion of the successful model on Water Shed Management. This involvement of community people has contributed to realise their roles and responsibilities in communities behind any successful models.

• Energy Walk was conducted by Martinet High school at Bholakpur in which more than 200 children participated. After the walk, there was the display of models and paintings at the school for the students and the communities of Bholakpur. This has encouraged students to come with their own representation of issues and how their communities need to be after several capacity building programs.
• BVM bholakpur have achieved in taking initiation of constructing the toilet blocks at Govt primary school, Musheerabad by collaborating with the Lions club of Hyderabad. And also it has facilitated with the continuous monitoring of the process and formed a team along with School Management Committee to construct toilets.

• The events and programs conducted by BVM team on world water day have attained a great visibility through media, where issues of the community were represented by school children which were supported by project team.

Recently, the issues of community toilets is brought into visibility through several representation and continues follow up by BVM and project team along with the community people, This efforts have achieved in facing the political lobby where GHMC zonal commissioner has approved in sanctioning budget for construction of community toilets and BVM team has taken initiation of monitoring.
