Prof. N.H. Ravindranath is a distinguished researcher and thought leader whose work spans climate change, forests, renewable energy and ecosystem services. His contributions encompass five critical dimensions. He has conducted extensive research across climate change, forests, renewable energy and ecosystem services, while actively participating in landmark international and national efforts to address climate change through bodies including the IPCC, Global Environment Facility, World Bank, UN Agencies and Committees of the Ministries of Environment and Science and Technology. Prof. Ravindranath has been instrumental in creating national and international awareness on the science, impacts, mitigation and adaptation aspects of climate change. He has designed climate change mitigation and adaptation projects and has built institutional capacities to address climate change mitigation and adaptation challenges across multiple organisations.
