Ms. Suchita Jain holds an M.Tech. in Applied Geology from Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. She brings over eight years of research experience in hydrology, remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). She has worked as a Researcher at the Space Applications Centre, ISRO, Ahmedabad, where she contributed to the Coastal Vulnerability Mapping project along parts of the Indian coast. She was also associated with SOPPECOM, Pune for over six years, where she was involved in remote sensing, GIS and hydrological aspects of several major studies including the post-facto study of watershed development programmes in Maharashtra, characterisation of wastelands in parts of Maharashtra, multilayer planning and management of water resources in the Bharar River Sub-basin in Chattarpur District, Madhya Pradesh and the LiveDiverse project on Sustainable Livelihoods and Biodiversity in Developing Countries. Ms. Jain currently serves as a Consultant across various projects in her areas of expertise.
